Hiring the wrong person for the job is a costly mistake because of the time and energy put into hiring and training. Employers need to find answers to three questions during their interview process:

    1. Does this person have the skills to perform the job?
    2. Will this person be responsible?
    3. Does this person fit into our culture?

Focus your interview on answering the Big Three:

    * Let the employer know you can do this job – show them you have the necessary skills and abilities. Give them examples of how you would perform the skills needed, including suggested accommodations.

One of the greatest things about the internet is the extremely high level of connectivity one gets through the world wide web. You are connected virtually to millions of computers around the world, each with someone manning it. This is why social networking websites attract so many people nowadays. Sites like Facebook and MySpace have lots of hits and registered users that are in the thousands. AT LEAST.

In terms of professional contacts, the best is to use LinkedIn, an online site that operates under the same basic principles of a social networking site, bit instead is focused on users being able to establish professional ties with people who belong to the same industry. LinkedIn allows users to post their qualifications and expertise on the website, and also has a referral / recommendation so that employers know that many people have already tried and tested the services of a person or group.
